Spider AI · AI MIDI editor

Turn your MIDI idea into the next idea.

Record a phrase or draw notes in Spider. Select that exact MIDI clip and ask the AI producer for a new groove, a more emotional melody, a variation or a different harmonic direction. Spider returns editable notes in the same project.

MIDI clips and Song Parts in the Spider Arrangement
AI works on the selected MIDI clip, not an unrelated draft.

Start with your own notes

Spider sends the selected clip’s note events, timing and relevant musical context to the producer workflow. You can ask for a subtler rhythm, a stronger hook or a more hypnotic variation. The original track and instrument remain the target.

Preview the actual change

The response is converted into structured MIDI events. Preview shows the bounded result before Apply; Spider does not silently replace your clip. If the source changes while the request runs, an outdated result cannot overwrite the new edit.

Keep producing

After Apply, the new notes remain editable in Arrangement and playable through the same synth. Continue with another variation, export MIDI or build the next Song Part using Spider’s instruments and Mixer.

How to try it

Open Arrangement, select a MIDI clip, press its AI control, describe the change and review Preview. AI generation availability depends on your current Spider plan.

Three ways to develop a MIDI idea with AI

Give the melody more emotion

Try: “Keep the main motif, but make this melody more emotional.” Start with your own keyboard performance or sequenced notes, then compare the generated variation with the idea you played.

Lock the bass into the groove

Try: “Make this bassline tighter and more syncopated.” Keep the existing instrument and continue shaping the result with note lengths, velocity and sound design.

Find a new chord direction

Try: “Give these chords a more spacious feel while staying in the project key.” Apply the variation you want, then edit individual notes in the MIDI Clip Editor.

Can I still edit and export the notes?

Yes. Applied results are MIDI clips in your Spider project, not a flattened audio file. You can edit notes, timing and velocity, play them through your instrument and export MIDI.

Does this replace the whole song?

No. Clip transformation works on the selected MIDI or drum clip. For a coordinated section, use AI Song Part generation. For a new song arrangement or text-to-preset sound design, explore Spider AI's producer workflows.
